I don't claim to be an expert on the subject, but its not like there was a CEO of Zuffa along with a CEO of the UFC. I would think the fact that Zuffa has a CEO might render that title useless to a company that is owned by a parent company that already has a CEO.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Definition Quote:
The highest ranking executive in a company whose main responsibilities include developing and implementing high-level strategies, making major corporate decisions, managing the overall operations and resources of a company, and acting as the main point of communication between the board of directors and the corporate operations.
in larger companies, the CEO will often deal with only the higher-level strategy of the company and directing its overall growth, with most other tasks deligated to managers and departments.

I would say by the above definition Coker is now managing a department within Zuffa, making the "Strikeforce CEO" title pretty useless, and not really making this a "demotion".
It doesn't really change anything from a couple of weeks ago.
