HAMMERS HAMIL exclusive: Strikeforce news Quote:
This is going to be a long post so bear with me... To all the haters keep hating I sill love you guys... As For My Sources none of your damn business there high up in vegas wink...
As Zuffa Aquired strikforce they have stated business as usual which has not been the case... Zuffa has terminated mainly the whole strikeforce staff except 2.... Rich chou was well respected within the company by staff and fighters and will be sadly missed as he was being groomed for taking over strikeforce for scott coker... Scott Coker has not been happy about his staff getting fired and very upset about chou getting replaced... Scott did not like his demotion but being scott as he is he took it in stride and just like a good pr man he pretends its all good... Many within say Scott will be gone by december to presue other endovours and scott is just there too smooth over the transistion...
Zuffa and Showtime once bitter enemies are now best friends... Zuffa has made inroads with showtime about making changes about the production... Gus Johnson And Mauro Ranallo are on the chopping block... Frank Shamrock is on the bubble and Pat Millitich and Stephan Quadros will be kept on for the challengers cards... Goldie And Rogan Are expected to take over duties in december....
There have been also talks of the tournament finals being Strikeforce first ppv this december and with ZUFFa like to DO 6 shows per year..
There have been strikeforce tourny issues things have not went off without a hitch.. Josh Barnett is not guaranteed but most within think with the zuffa brass at helm they can get it done and incase andrei arvlovsky will be on stand by...
Allistar Overeem has had A rocky relationship with the coker regeime... Allistar was not happy with coker dicking him around with the fedor fight that was promised to him... Also Not happy with the long layoff between the rogers fight and some contractual matters... Coker extended an olive branch in obtaining Valentjn overeem to smooth t
Now the next part is rumor there have been rumblings and info changing daily on this... My sources are tight lipped... But the overeem vs werdum fight is not guaranteed... Ive asked about injury but zuffa has been coy with info being leaked...
Ive been told dont be surprised if overeem pulls out of the tournament and relinquishes the championship... Overeem could possibly be crossing over to the ufc... This would make the Tournament finals for the championship and makes a debut ppv more interesting... This as i said is rumor i know there have been talks and the fight is not cancelled and is still official but was told dont be surprised... This can change daily so I will try too keep updated with more info as I find out more but its not a guaranteed more to come.

damn what a bunch of bs... The thing that gets me is that Overeem lost to werdum in the past and has been bothered by it and been asking for a rematch since. You could hear how upset he was when responding to werdum saying he was going to take his other arm. If he pulls out I dont think it will be his own fault. Overeem wants to KO werdum. Whoever wins will boost themselves a lot as they are both top hw's.

Nothing that this guy is saying surprises me,but I'm a little shocked it's already happening regarding SF.
In reference to AO I bet the UFC is trying to get him on their roster.

Id be fine if they cancelled it early, still pissed but at least let the first round fights go down... I also want to see barnett get humbled. He is a great fighter but doesnt seem to have learned to act better, considering all that he has done in the past.

I guess they are completely restructuring SF, not that big of a surprise. But as for the GP and AO's involvement, I really would have liked to see it completed, and losing AO would really screw it up.

Who knows but I would aslo love to see Barnett get humbled. As well as Werdum vs. AO. I want see him beat a legit top ten HW before I can fully take him seriously.

Either Overeem wants a push to go to the UFC or he doesn't want to work with Zuffa cause they know they won't let him do Kickboxing and let him defend his K-1 WGP title..Idk I guess we have to let it all play out and find out if were gonna AO vs Werdum next month

Although it sucks and destroys some of the credibility of this tournament, there are alot of upsides were this to happen.
AO gives up his belt, and his spot in the GP.
Then have Overeem fight the loser of Carwin/JDS (which would be an absolute war). And as the winner fights Cain, and Overeem fights the loser it sets up a credible # 1 contender for the UFC belt at the start of the next year.
Now, they could have a UFC guy swing the other way to try and win the Strikeforce tournament and title. Guys like Mir, Nelson, Schaub could fill that fight against Werdum (who're on the verge of the title picture, just not the top UFC HW's yet). And in the event a UFC guy wins the SF tournament and title, Dana has tons of ammo to say "see, the UFC guys are better". And in the same sence it's like "see, Overeem came to the UFC for better competition.".
So at the end of the day, the tournament could continue on without Overeem. It may actually be better. Because what happens if Overeem does lose to somebody in this thing? His hype is gone, he's on a loss, he's still the champ even though he's not the GP champ.

I just want to see Overeem fight top competition, period.
I don't care if he has to pull out of his own funeral, for God's sake, just prove all the hype if it is true.

They will pick the fighters the UFC wants to keep and you will start seeing stuff like this. When the UFC absorbs the talent pool from SF, then SF wil just fade away, aswell as Showtime.
Just my 0.02$
