The following is the business report from the UFC 60 "Hughes vs. Gracie" show on May 27th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Total house: 14,765 in attendance with 10,347 paid for a total gate of $2,900,090.
The main eventers had different deals than anyone else on the card, in that they were guaranteed a large sum of "show money" but were also entitled to a percentage of the pay-per view, which according to early estimates is going to make them a lot of money.
Royce Gracie was given a downside guarantee of $400,000 for the fight, but with the PPV cut he'll wind up making well over a million dollars. That's not even including his own personal sponsors.
