Just curious how people can vote Nog over CC?

The only reason I can think of is because Nog beat CC a few years ago, which was a long time ago and doesn't hold much weight for today's rankings.

crocop winning the OWGP wasn't impressive as Shogun winning it. Clearly the level of competition wasn't the same until Crocop defeated Silva. now that CC is in the UFC this fight will never materialize.

how the eff do you figure? stop with this "it was a logn time ago" stuff cuz that mixes opinion with fact, Nogs did beat him.. hes also beaten Barnett, and only has losses to Hendo, Barnett, and Fedor where as Cro-cop has losses to Randleman, Hunt, Fedor, and Nogs so people can make a case for why Nogs is better then Cro-cop.. when Nogs beat Cro-cop.. CC had wins over Fujita, Sakuraba, Igor, Herring.. he wasnt green so it counts.

Yeah, Big Nog is the shit. Always has been, always will be. I can't believe how many awesome HW's Pride has. They lost CroCop but still, they are stacked...not like anyone didn't know that already, lol. I think Pride should have a HW Grand Pris next year instead of a MW GP. Wasn't the last MW grand pris in 2005? HW was in 2004? How does that work? Damn Japanese...

im glad he won nog deserves all his wins, he is one of the best ever.

and i still think nog is number 3 under cro cop, i know nog beat cro cop but it was a while ago and i dont think it holds power in the new rankings seeing as rampage beat chuck on that same event and look at those rankkings. cro cop has done so much lately and deserves his number 2 spot

Barnett beats #2 ranked Nog.

#4 ranked Mirko beats #2 Barnett.

What did that do to the rankings? This:

Nog can't leapfrog back on top after the OWGP simply because he has a 4 year old win over Mirko. That makes no sense whatsoever and no legit ranker would ever do it this way, with anything. Not boxing, not K-1, and not MMA.

After Nog's vengence:

#1 Fedor
#2 Mirko
#3 Nog
#4 Barnett

Nog may have avenged his loss to Barnett, but Mirko has done NOTHING to lose his spot. You can't take away his ranking because Nog avenged the loss to the guy who first unseated him any sooner than Nog can erase the loss to Barnett from his record. He merely reseated himself over Barnett with the victory over Barnett. That's how it works. Now if you have the OPINION that Nog is over Mirko, then fine, have that opinion, but if you think the OFFICIAL ranking should be Nog over Mirko then you're simply wrong. That's not how it works. We may as well put Babalu over Shogun in that case.

Mirko is #2, it's logic. You can hate it, but deal with it.
