Not as bad as Frank Mir.

I don't think it's fighter bias. I think it is BJJ and striking bias...and I think most people have that bias unless you are a huge wrestling fan.

I think Joe likes offence that can finish fights.

Plus he is also trying to sell to the noob fans that Pettis was the WEC champ. So to people who have only seen Guida....and he is just dominating Pettis in wrestling, and they call this guy a champ?

Joe always loves his BJJ especially. Anytime their is a Brazilian debuting, Joe gets really hyped.

Shoulder shots do fuck all...a 1 inch punch hurts more...and he did throw several headbutts to the chest (which refs should watch for more) Because headbutts to the chest hurt a lot more than those shoulder shots, but are illegal.

Well in upon reconsideration,he DID say that they didn't do much, but made the fighter think, and adjust.I agree,he is biased towards technique,I think we all are.I LOVE judo throws

(Pic) Kyle Kingsbury suffered a broken orbital last night at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 13 Finale... - MMAmania.com

I am kind of upset Fabio lost the decision. He won that fight.

Love how everyone only wants to focus on Guida being, apparently, boring. Because if Guida won and it was boring, then that means Pettis was a boring loser as well. How is that Showtime love still around when all the people who were hyping how he was gonna blow past Clay and get "HIS" title shot? If being on top and controlling a fight while defending submission attempts is boring, then I can't imagine what it is when someone allows themselves to be layed on for 3 rounds... Double-standard anyone?

I hope I've seen the last of Chuck Oneil in the UFC. His last two fights amounted to 30 minutes of walking around the octagon trying to avoid being knocked out.

I'm sick of watching ANY fighter who is clearly losing a fight, refuse to go all out in the final minutes of a fight. I know Dana was sucking up and infatuated with Chuck, but those last two fights prove to me that he does not have what it takes, skill NOR heart.

guida has the potential to put on good fights against guys not on par, but when he moves up the ladder it seems like he resorts to things like staying out of range, then jumping left to right rapidly for 4 minutes a round, and then finally going for a takedown the last minute of the round, like he did against gomi. Or when he takes 2 punches to the head and he can't get the takedown he will hold you on the fence and nudge you slightly with his shoulder for 2 full rounds and maybe get one in the third like he did against danzig. Im not saying he is a boring fighter, im just saying that i can't stand his style.

Guida is ANYTHING BUT BORING. Please go watch K-1 if you can't watch a match where a striker cannot get off his back or avoid takedowns. It is actually quite common. I don't comprehend why everyone is complaining because Guida is one of the most exciting fighters out there. He is no Maynard or Shields. He will push the pace and break his opponents. If you don't think Guida is effective, look no further than the fatigue levels of his opponents.

PS - You might have trouble finding K-1 due to their impending bankruptcy. Enjoy boxing where instead of grappling for 3 rounds, most matches result in 12 rounds of dancing.

Um Guida choked out Gomi. And blasted him quite a few times with overhands and head kicks. What fight did you watch?

i watched this one Guida vs. Gomi Fight Video - UFC 125 And guida landed 2 grazing headkicks and maybe 2 clean punches in the first round. And in the second round he lands 1 innefective head kick and maybe 3 clean punches. And as much i love gomi he is a middle of the heap ufc fighter imo. And just because there is a finish doesn't mean I think the fight is exciting. Emphasis on the "I"
