| UFC WW division
A friend and I were talking about how over loaded this division is. Now that GSP is injured, along with Serra cutting in line, it pushes back a lot of guys title shots. Diego, Karo, Koscheck, and Hughes. Penn too if he comes up to WW again. They are all in line and realistically we are looking at 2008 now before some of these guys will get their chance. Thoughts?

My thought are:
1) I cannot complain about stacked to the rim division.
2) Serra doesn't belong there and is going to get crushed....who cares it is for TUFFERS.
3) BJ himself says he is going to stay at WW.
4) Diego will get a title shot here soon.

I say set up Deigo vs Koscheck and Hughes vs Karo then have the two winners fight for number one contender on whatever ppv gsp comes back to fight serra

The BJ vs Pulver fight is only for the TUFFERS too and so BJ can avenge the loss and heal to 100%.
By the time BJ rips Pulver in half he will be ready to avenge the loss to GSP.

I wish UFC would let those fighters fight one another instead of building them up for a title shot. Why cant they fight each other? Hughes-Diego, BJ-Fitch, Kos-Serra and so on. Let them fight until we get a clear view of who deserves a shot. Not everyone deserves a title shot just because they were built up for image.

Think about Chungt, people want to see the undefeated fighter go against the Champ. It makes for good advertising when someone has a donut in their loss column.
It is a formula:
1) Build them up to a nice undefeated record.
2) Challenge the Champ
3) If undefeated person losses then let them fight the other #1 contenders.
4) Sell the rematch against the Champ as "the only loss".
It works.
Example GSP.

Thoughts? | I dont see it as overloaded with actual title contendors. It actually is quite nice to not have it so 1 sided like the LHW division. Serra, Karo and Koscheck??.... throw them out of there... not title shot material yet, especially Koscheck, thinking of him with the belt makes me want to vomit haha. BJ will be tied up with TUF 5 and then in the LW division with Pulver. So if he decides he still wants to come back and go for the title in the WW division then we shall see. Right now the names for title shots are going to be Hughes and Diego ... of course GSP needs to heal up first now that he is injured.

The only legitimate contender in that division is BJ Penn.
All of the others are fairly easy wins for GSP.
