Everyone who summed up the property rights of footage with Mirko fighting is right. Everyone who summed up Mirko's yet to be cut promo footage is right.
That being said, causing widespread panic and anger can still be fun. OMGOMGOMG He's not coming to the UFC!!

He still had one fight left on his Pride contract,
could he be saving it for a Fedor rematch?
Pride goes out of it's way to please Cro cop.
He should want to defend his Open weight grand prix title,
when the time comes.
Read Sakakibara's quote carefully,
he almost guarantees the cop is coming back home.
He will dominate UFC and then he will be worth much more $$$.

Could it be that Cro cop is on loan?
No, he signed a two year, six fight deal with the UFC, according to Mirko Filipovic's official website
He still had one fight left on his Pride contract, could he be saving it for a Fedor rematch?
Not true, he has always fought on handshake agreements with Pride and would negotiate one fight at a time.
Pride goes out of it's way to please Cro cop.
Apparently not far enough
He should want to defend his Open weight grand prix title, when the time comes.
Possible - LW GP this year, LHW 2008, who knows what is after that

He is hopeful that Cro Cop will return. He also states that he cannot compete with the UFC when they are paying 30-40 percent more than Pride can afford.

That really doesn't help DSE, who is struggling to find revenue streams. If they cannot afford him now, how will they afford him if he goes 6-0 in the UFC and takes the belt?
