If Franklin shows up at the top of his game I don't even see MacDonald being able to take this down.
I'd be really pissed if this was just setting up a highlight reel ko/tko for Franklin's comeback trail.

i pick rich decapitating macdonald 23 seconds into the 1st.
i donno man, macdonald looked good against herman i suppose. and i was really suprised that he won in the fashion that he did. but i don't think that he looked great against leben. leben just looked that bad. he looked pathetic. leben gassed like a couple of minutes in the 1st round. i need to see more from macdonald to start picking him against top contenders. which leben and ed herman are far from.

Throwing McDonald in with Franklin does seem a bit premature - the guy is just starting to get some major steam going. Are there any other TUF'ers besides Swick to match him up with? If so, I say do that. If not, I say give him Swick. If he beats Swick, then we'll know he's ready to test the waters of the big time contenders. I'm guessing that Franklin would massacre him. But then again, surprising people seems to be McDonald's forte.

hmmmmm........i'd say if franklin doesnt knock mcdonald out right away mcdonald has a good chance, mcdonald is very aggressive and will find a way to get the fight to the mat, i guess we'll find out if mcdonald has a chin or not

I am gonna go with Franklin on this in hopes he comes back with more to prove. I know he has it in him to put up a better fight against Silva than what he did but he for sure is going to need to train harder. Franklin is either going to come back better and hungrier or he's going to plummit.

I think Franklin/ Swick makes more sense. Swick's got more wins under his belt and I think he deserves to fight a big name/talent guy. MacDonald's looked really good in his fights, I think having him fight Franklin now is a mistake. If he looses, it kills his momentum and marketability. I actually prefer to see MacDonald/Swick, that'd be a great undercard fight.

If Franklin fights Macdonald, i say it goes about like the fight with Nate Quarry..however, i agree with what has been said before, if rich doesnt knock macdonald out right away then macdonald has a chance
