| What kind of shorts/trunks are better?
Given that it is illegal to grasp an opposing fighter's shorts, does it affect your fighting depending on the type of shorts you wear? I remember Matt Hughes used to wear the spandex/skin tight shorts all the time - I thought he liked those shorts because he used to wear that type of stuff as a wrestler. Now I see him wearing the thigh length loose shorts...what gives here? I have seen Wandy wear skin tights for most of his fights, then he wears the thigh length loose shorts in his OWGP match against Crocop. Does either type of shorts give you a better comfort level for a style of fighting? or is it simply a matter of personal taste?

Could be potential for the baggier looser shorts to be a pain in the ass when throwing kicks if the seams don't permit a great deal of stretching.
I'm sure whoever designed their shorts considered that already though, and they don't appear to hinder movement a noticeable amount.
So, it's personal preference as far as the fighters go. As far as a fan's viewpoint, I couldn't give a shit what they wear. Shonie Carter prepped me for anything.

Full Contact Fighter does this as well, but TapOut doesn't. I know cuz I've looked. I use FCF shorts.

i wonder if cro cop is gonna wear his signature checkered shorts or start taking sponsorships. it'd be cool to see the best fighter in the UFC not covered in ads.
