Not sure I understand this one, but the gyst was Rickson to win & I totally agree.

There's too much emphasis on Sakuraba winning against, what 4 Gracies?

I cant remember what the Royler fight was like so no comment.

Royce: fight went on for an hour & half. Fatigue stopped the fight, would Sakuraba have won it with a sensible time scale (I haven't seen it, so I'm asking?)

Renzo: Renzo's arm broke due to Sakuraba's kimura during a close fight.

Ryan: Sakuraba beat a guy whose arm was practically in a sling walking into the ring!

This was all before Sakuraba hit the booze & night clubs. I'm not taking anything away from the guy but Rickson would own him in a fight today

The Royler fight was a mismatch, mainly due to size. Royler butt scooted the whole time begging Sakuraba to come into his guard, while Sakuraba stood over him and leg kicked the shit out of him.

The Royce fight was so damn long it's hard to say what would have happened had their been a time limit. Fact remains is there wasn't a time limit, and because Royce didn't want one. He lost under his own rules, so you can't take anything away from Sakuraba's win there. Royce couldn't finish that fight, meanwhile Sakuraba could and even went on to fight Igor Vovchanchyn later that same night, and Igor was considered #1 or #2 at HEAVYWEIGHT at that time. That fight Sakuraba was almost on his way to victory too, but eventually the size/power difference took over.

Sakuraba and Renzo was close up until his arm broke, but it's exactly that. A submission either forces someone to tap or have something broken. In this case, because he grabbed the kimura standing and twirled it around, Renzo probably didn't have time to tap, but lost because another man hurt him to the point that he couldn't keep fighting. A win is a win.

The Ryan fight, he had a lot of tape all over him and shit, but still Sakuraba spanked him (literally).

I don't think because Sakuraba beat 4 people with the same last name as Rickson, that that's why I'd pick him to win this fight. I simply know Sakuraba is a legend of MMA and for damn good reason. He's a great fighter and it's proven. Rickson hasn't proven a lot in MMA, especially since the sport has progressed. And being a legend in jiu-jitsu doesn't really mean much, as Frank Shamrock proved in the Cesar Gracie fight.

Yeah everyone says this Gracie isn't Rickson and that Gracie isn't Rickson. Point is, 99.9% of these people are just believing what people say about Rickson. Oh Paulo Filho says Rickson is still the best. Oh the Gracie family members themselves admit none of them are on Rickson's level (which might have been saying something back in the day, to say he's head and shoulders above the rest of the other Gracie's today as far as MMA goes ain't saying much). I really hope this fight happens, I've been dieing for the myth of Rickson to be exposed. I'm not sure beating Sakuraba NOW does much to prove that myth to be true either, but losing will obviously end the myth. So it's a no win situation for Rickson. If he does take the fight, you have to at least respect that much.

My moneys on Sakuraba retiring without a single loss to any Gracie.

Ryan had a lot of tape on his shoulder cos he knackered it up. It's common knowledge! The fight should have never taken place, it's just that those dumb Gracies think (or thought) they were invincible & could take Saku with one arm.

And Renzo's arm being broke by Saku's kimura is fair enough, but no way was Renzo going to tap because of it (same as Silva/Mir). Again dumb Gracie thinking he's invincible.

I'm not a believer of Rickson's 400/0 record, in fact I think it's a load of bollocks, but what I have seen of Rickson in the earlier Pride fights he would have demolished Sakuraba in a breath.
