Okami lost to Sonnen and what did he do? Went and started training with the guy. Surely it makes sense to fight a guy you're training with, because if he can beat you then he can expose the holes in your game. There's no room for ego, this sport is about pitting your skills against another and improving upon them until you're the best fighter you can be.
