i thought he was retired. i just checked sherdog and he had fights in 06'?

anyone care to explain.

Kicking ass well into his fifties, Dan Severn truly is the man. Hell, I wish I was in that good a shape by the time I hit 30, much less 50, but you know what, if you take real good care of yourself, you can definitely go 'till the wheels fall off. But strength and power are usually the last things to go as a man gets older. Dan Severn might not be able to see, but so long as he's able to throw foo's around like rag dolls, he'll keep going.

Dan will fight into his 60s barring major injury. He keeps himself in top physical condition (well top for him he will always carry that little bit of meat in the abdomen area). He is exceptionally strong and can keep with and beat the B class fighters out there. Dan has been a very competitive person his entire life and like Couture, he really has nothing to prove so he competes to keep himself active.

If you take 10 or so years off Dan right now, I would put big money on him beating Sylvia.
