Come on, you can't really say Frank Mir is overrated. The guy destroyed his body in an accident and was on a role before hand. There's no telling how good he could have been since he looks like a shell of the fighter he was beforehand. I don't think Mir would have been in the same league as Cro Cop or Fedor or most other Pride HW's but I don't think he was overrated or overhyped. Other than that I think Koscheck is the most overrated fighter in MMA.
I'm also going to throw this out there. Since I think a lot of people would agree that Leben is overrated, I think the same goes for Ed Herman. Which leads me to believe that MacDonald may be overrated as well. I guess we'll see if he fights Franklin.
And the only think about Tim Sylvia that's not overrated is his steel arm.

| Arlovski
I always thought Arlovski, when he had his run as heavyweight champ, was much overrated by the UFC hype machine. He was without question a good fighter, but everyone seemed to think he was unstoppable. Fighters seemed afraid to face him. But a number of his quick knockouts had a flukish element to them.
What I mean by flukish is, like when Justin Eiler's knee blew just as Arlovski was moving in to throw a punch. Or Arlovski catching Silvia in a Achilles lock after knocking him down. Or even his fight with Buentello: Arlovski was actually losing the stand-up, and Andre shot in for a takedown while blindly throwing a looping overhand right. As it turned out, the punch caught Buentello right on the button. Each time was a solid win, but an element of luck always seemed to be involved.

Dean Lister is the most overrated grappler on earth
Top 2 are still BJ and Genki (very biased dont care)

CHUCK LIDELL = OVERRATED!!! he needs to fight an accomplished striker. Babalu, Tito and an aged Couture :banghead: COME ON! Alistair Overeem was looking pretty good then he gassed like his other matches.

2 time world world grappling champion
2-time U.S. National Sambo champion
4 ime U.S. Machado National Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Champion (weight class and open classes),
Lister won the Abu Dhabi Absolute Division championship in 2000
He set a tournament record by defeating 4 of his opponents consecutively (3 by submission) in 2003.

Not that that's a bad record when you consider who his losses are to, but everyone said he would beat GSP down and he lost. He was going to destroy Hughes and he lost. He doesn't train hard, shows up expects to win and doesn't. Another thing is since '04 his only good win is against Hughes. He is a really good fighter, but the way alot of you guys hype him you would think he was unbeatable.
