Where does Cung Le go from here (spoiler)

So does he retire or does he return? On one hand it wouldn't be a terrible way to go out, he had a war with one of the legends in the sport. On the other hand I always thought Le could offer alot of great fights in the UFC. But he is in his late 30's pushing 40. I would have loved to see a dream fight between him and Anderson Silva, although Silva would have probably beaten him after the 2nd or 3rd round. I just don't know, it was tough to see him make his debut against Wandi, who I'm a huge fan of as well. It's bitter sweet for me. I hope he does continue to fight, his style is so much fun to watch.

I think retirement is probably the route unless he just wants to collect one or two more paydays.

Pretty short MMA career if he retires. Imagine if this was 2005 Wanderlai, the fight would have last 40 seconds. Someone mentioned Anderson, I give that fight 2 mintues before Le gets koed.

I always thought Cung Le was way overhyped for never fighting/beating any top fighters (at least not in their prime) but still would like to see him fight a few more times, exciting fighter to watch.

I can see Cung doing well against fighters who do not have one punch KO power. A fight with Bisping would be interesting. I think Leban or Stan would KO him by mid-round 2.

Cung Le = Product of the hype machine.

As near as I can tell, he has good kicks, and decent wrestling; that's it. His hands aren't phenomenal, and he doesn't deal well with being pressured. I've never seen any sub game from him so I really don't know how his subs are.

He doesn't have to retire, he can still put on fun fights for fans, but getting beat up for the fans' enjoyment probably isn't high on his "To do:" list; especially when he has viable alternatives.... That said, his Hollywood career will never amount to much either.

I thought he would win based on what has been happening to Wandy lately but never thought he was an elite level fighter. I knew it was all hype when Scott Smith beat him.
