| The UFC needs to stop buying all these organizations
I just had a thought watchin a RJJ Highlight, but how in the hell will MMA every be unified if the UFC keeps buying every Org? its been said before, the UFC cannot afford all the top fighters in the world.. and we all wanna see a unified MMA right? the only way it can really happen is if every org comes to some sort of agreement and allows all there fighters to fight in every org and win there belts, kind of like each fighter is self-employed.. like Boxing only the diff is all boxing matches are in one ring, not an octagon etc etc.
The way I see it is, only way MMA can every b e unified is if theres multiple owners, and if the UFC buys all these orgs theres only one owner! and they cant afford all the top fighters in the world.. probably never will be able to afford all the top fighters in the world so basically, the Bottom 5 of each division will probably be gone.. and we'll just get to see the Top 5 at best. So I hope the UFC stops trying to buy Pride, and doesnt even attempt to buy IFL, GFC, etc etc in fact I think it was bad that they bought the WFA and WEC.. Rampage to the UFC is huge but the more organizations, the more owners, the better.. I wanna see a unified MMA.. I wanna see every fighter able to go and fight in diff organizations at there own free will and win those belts and hold multiple belts, the more belts you have the more of a champion you are, and the only reason Boxing has multiple belts is because Boxing had many organizations that all unified.. if MMA ever unified they'd have multiple belts because there is no possible way for MMA to be one owner, one organization.
If MMA was organized, it be easier to do these Top 10 lists and P4P lists, we'd really know if Chuck was the #1 LHW in the world (ya right Shogun would be Pride, UFC, and IFL champ) etc and etc.. so I hope the UFC stops this buying rampage and focuses more on purchasing fighters, and paying them well.

I don't really care who the orgs are personally. If UFC and Pride were to go out of business I think another few would pop up in no time. MMA is a true sport now and it is here to stay.
What I would like to see is a Overall Unified Body or Tournament where the Champions in major orgs in the world are invited for each weight class. This tournament would have to be sposored by someone like Hahn from Enter the Dragon..lol and take place outside of each orgs rules.
Someone with a lot of money could do this.

I like it the way it is right now (although I would like to see some of the dream matches get to happen because right now MMA isn't big enough to handle a setup like that. Things would just end up more split up because there aren't enough top fighters.
Also the UFC is never going to give up control of the sport that they effectively built in the US. They dumped all of the money in and put in all of the risk, it would be bad business to then allow other people to make money off of their product.

I dont see any problems the way it is right now. UFC just bought the WEC and bought contracts fromthe WFA and that is basically it. Pride is still seperate and that is the only other organization with a great stable of fighters to compate with the UFC. If these 2 stay seperate but let fighters cross over from time to time for dream matches that would be the best thing for MMA. I know it sounds real simple to us but unfortunately there are a lot more politics involved.

Someone with a lot of money could do this. | Don King!! The best promoter in the world. I called in to the Ferrel show and asked Chuck about this. He said it was a lot of negotiating involved and very difficult but it could happen.
Maybe they should get boxing money involved in MMA. Have fighters become freelance and not join any org. and just fight the fights people want to see. Maybe the IBF, WBA, and WBC should get involved. If that happend the UFC would probably go out of business because MMA fighters would get a shit load of money but we would see all the fights we want to see. No more contracts, no more BS, and a lot more happier fighters, Like Frank Shamrock.

So basically you're mad that your favorite organization Pride has little to no marketing skill/value and is going out of business? Makes sense.
I could care less either way.

It's not big enough for something like that because most fans only know what the UFC tells them. Without that there would be nobody to expose them to the sport. There needs to be years and years of growth before this would work.

This is one of the most annoying things in the world, and one of the most common I encounter.
To say you could care less is saying you care, but your interest in said topic could be lower than it's present state. To say you "COULDN'T" care care would mean you have absolutely no interest in it, and your dislike for said topic could not get any lower.
