hell, at least eliminate some of the weight restrictions, perhaps set 205 as the cap so that you don't end up with any massive mismatches. Obviously there's a ton of potentially great matches that are never gonna happen due to these weight classes, and in the long run, it wouldn't make that much of a difference, since welterweights and middleweights wouldn't have to cut weight.

yeah, it would definitely cut out a lot of top talent, but it's the only way I could ever see anything like this happening.

But i think it should be open weight like 185-250 and 140-185, that would be cool

the light heavy weight tourney would be one hellova idea, put the best of both worlds in it, ken-flo vs sherk, pulver vs one of the other bettter lw fighters, and spread it over a few ppvs. Include the best of the best, then pair winner vs winner, that way its fair to all those that worked in pulvers absense and doesnt automatically put a tuf winner in a title fight. Plus it would mean some hellacious fights for us to watch, plus it would make the title contenders bust ass to put on some good fights. Having to earn it makes u work harder, just fighting a few then getting a shot cus they won some sub par fights. Doesnt really give them the crediblity to walk right into a title shot, look how long liddell had to work to get his light hw title shot. And hes been a exceptional champ, dominant and fights whoever they give him.
