A featherweight bout between Maximo Blanco and Marcus Brimage has reportedly been booked for UFC 145 in Atlanta.

UFC 145 was originally scheduled to go down in Montreal in March, however after UFC officials cancelled the event, UFC Atlanta (which was originally scheduled to be UFC 146) is now coined UFC 145.

Maximo is one of the most entertaining strikers in MMA.

I'm loving it. Hopefully we see some more of his aggressive striking and judo.

Moving down to 145, it will be nice to see him fight someone in his own weight class.

Pat Healy in his last fight was just waay too big. Healy had a good 20lbs on Maxi.

I didn't know Blanco was signed by UFC.

Yeah...hired immediately after the lose to Healy. (4 days after the lose)

Healy was not hired....despite beating Lyle Beerbohm and Maximo Blanco (on short notice).

Blanco did do some training with Greg Jackson before fighting in SF....it will be interesting to hear where he has been training and how he does in his next fight in the UFC.

He appeared to handle the crowd well...didn't seem to phase him.

Blanco at 145 is a pretty awesome concept. He's a fierce fighter but has always been on the slighter side of LW. Always been a big Maximo fan and think that this could be a brand new leaf with alot of great, promising opportunities.

PS, I too had zero fucking clue he'd signed w/ UFC.
