It's different when the guy just had the belt. If Bisping was a former champ, then for sure he would get a title shot after an impressive win against an almost ranked guy, especially.

I could see Bisping getting a title shot if he beats someone like Okami, Belfort, or Munoz in his next fight, especially since White came out and said he felt like Bisping won against Sonnen.

I could give half a dozen reasons as to why Bisping doesn't deserve a title shot coming off a win against Stann...

But at the end of the day, Dana professes that he doesn't care about rankings (except when he wants to tout his daily changing top 5 p4p list), and just wants to put on exciting fights that the fans want to see.

And lets face it, once the first round started, it would be kind of exciting to wait for Anderson to decimate Bisping... But it's not a title fight that I could take seriously, and it's not something I'd pay money for.

It doesn't do anything for the legitimacy of the sport; but I don't think that's truly on Dana's "To do" list. I think he wants to grow the sport, but I think he knows there's probably more money in keeping the UFC teetering on the edge between sport and sports entertainment.

Personally, I think Bisping would do a lot better then people think against Silva. Give the devil his due at least a little bit. He has only been KO'd once and that was by the hardest hitting fighter in MMA history. Other then that he has lost 3 close decisions. I think he shock everyone and try to take Silva to the mat where he would land some decent GnP. I would have Silva winning a decision but Bisping would be able to hold his own for the most part.
