Ironic how Chael didn't impress us, Bisping did impress up, but we still feel that Chael on the fight. (The way I see it from most people posts).

As for the 30-27 it isn't really an outrageous score. Most people can agree that round 1 and 2 could have gone either way. Well, I guess one judge saw it that both the rounds went Chaels way. I thought it was a really close fight and giving a decision 30-27 makes it sound like it was kind of 1 sided. but until we see more rounds scored as a draw we will keep seeing fights where the score doesn't dictate how close the fight was.

As far as Bisping facing wrestlers like it says in this article and him referring to Rashad Evans, Matt Hamill, Chael Sonnen, Denis Kang and Dan Henderson. Denis Kang as a wrestler?? And mentioning Chael in the same breath....who he just fought just as hour earlier. And Hendo has great wrestling defence. But he doesn't wrestle to win his fights.

So that narrows it down to Hammill and Evans. So in his 16....yeah....16 UFC fights, he has faced 3 fighters, 2 before Chael, who used their wrestling to try and beat Bisping. That is why as Bisping says: "If you look at the conspiracy, 'Oh, they're giving him hand-picked opponents."

It is because compared to nearly every other fighter in the UFC...a lot of fans do feel that.

Now, that being said, I think Bisping looked good last night. He was quick, had good movement and was always working to get up immediately.

I gave it to Sonnen 2 rounds to 1, but I could see how a inept judge could have scored it 2 rounds to 1 for Bisping. If the fight was in Japan, Sonnen would have been the clear winner. He was easily the most dominant and he landed the bigger, more affective shots.

Sonnen, in my opinion, didn't look good. Crap head movement coming in, really sloppy at times not setting up his shots. I was hoping to see an improvement. Maybe it was just a complete lack of respect for Bisping's standup...which isn't known for it's power. He took way too many shots in the face.

I liked hearing Sonnen's fighting style being announced as Vale Tudo. Liked his little speech at the end. I was hoping Rogan would have cut him off and tell him that he scored the fight for Bisping, not Rogan.

I am not a Bisping fan, but I am kind of hoping that he DOES get a title shot in his next few fights. If Sonnen gets popped again or gets injured (which he says won't prevent him from fighting) or maybe if he just wins 1 or two fights in a row, I hope that Anderson fights Bisping. Bisping showed good speed and kept his stamina. I wouldn't mind seeing what Anderson could do to him.

And if it takes Bisping getting a title shot in order for me to see him get KOd....I am willing to wait and watch.

I think its the fact that we're used to the judges not being able to make such fine definitions between scoring rounds and fights like they've somehow magically done now. I mean they've somehow come out with a some clear points scored that many felt were far from clear.

It should have been mostly judged and won upon control more than anything else. I mean in the end to be black and white, Sonnen kept Bisping with his back to the floor way too long for Bisping to win majority control of the fight, but in reply Sonnen did sod all damage there or offensively to end the fight whilst in that position. If Bisping had thrown some more submissions from the ground, and kept Sonnen more busy defending them, then one could have have scored the takedown nul and negative for Sonnen, who didn't maintain control over his opponent whilst in a dominant position, and then spent that position defending himself. But he didn't so..

I watched the fight live and was stunned a friend of mine stood up and said " bisping in a walk.." i turned and told him that incoherent mma ramble wasnt tolerated and made him watch the last match in the garage....I watched the fight again yesterday, sans the alcoholic haze, and 2 things were reinforced.
1-Judges weight takedowns more than a good exchange on the feet.
2- They gave the edge in the "fencework" to Sonnen.

These are not surprises and makes the scoring a bit more palatable.

I could have scored the fight either way honestly. but I think Bispings exchanged on the feet outweigh the take down simple fotr damage which I think should also factor into juding decisions.
