He could be such a force if he was able to keep pace through his fights. That guy is one of the toughest SOB's in HW. Carwin and Roy are the only 2 guys in the UFC that have survived to a decision with JDS, and Carwin looked like he had been dragged through broken shards of glass.

I could imagine some asshole who thinks he's a tough guy picking a fight with Roy Nelson (old Roy especially), not knowing who he is.

I agree. Roy should be able to defend himself pretty well from getting taken down, but if it does go to the ground, he has more than a fair chance of being able to defend himself against Werdum. Another key factor, as it's been stated, is that it's very, very unlikely (not happening) that Werdum finishes Roy on the feet, but Roy has more than enough KO power to put Werdum's lights out, or score a TKO.

I hope Roy comes out in great shape and finishes Werdum. I'll always be a fan of Roy.
Ya no shit, I hope Roy has been sticking with the weights and comes out in great shape. Annnd, I hope the in shape Roy Nelso beats kids asses. Roy is a funny guy and like already said, if he can last 3 rounds with JDS, the man has my respect.

And the crazy thing is JDS landed a hell of a lot more punches on Nelson then he did on Carwin believe it nor not. JDS threw 104 punches at Carwin and 88 landed "significantly"(sp?)

138 total strikes thrown at Nelson...130 of them landed and counted for significant lol.

Carwin is a bloody mess, And Nelson shows up just fine for the presser after eating 40+ MORE punches then Carwin lol. Dude is tough to say the least. And is sporting one of the toughest chins of all todays HWs imo.

I think Werdum takes this fight, certainly not in dominant fashion... But the only thing he has to watch out for is Roy's overhand right. Fabricio's standup looked improved against Overeem, so I think his size and reach advantage will allow him to dictate the distance.

I could see Roy rocking, or even dropping him once or twice, but I think Fabricio takes a UD.

That said, I hope Roy wins, because I'm more partial to Roy.
