| Cordeiro analyzes Werdum VS. Nelson Cordeiro analyzes Werdum VS. Nelson Quote:
The coach Rafael Cordeiro is confident of Fabricio Werdum’s win over the tough Roy Nelson, on a bout scheduled for February 4. While talking to TATAME’s crew, Rafa analyzed their styles, affirming that the Brazilian will bet on his Jiu-Jitsu skills.
“Werdum will explore his strongest weapon, which is Jiu-Jitsu. People will realize how badly he wants to be in the UFC”, warns Cordeiro, who has the backup of Renato Babalu, Marcos Buchecha and Lucas Leite at Kings MMA, gym he leads in California.
“He’s a tough opponent, he has a whole history in there. He has fought many tough guys… The expectations are the best possible. Werdum is coming from tough fights, he’s used to it, so he’s training a lot in respect to Roy… He’s ready for a big fight”.
Cordeiro opens partnership with Black House
Besides training Werdum, Rafael has to worry about his students at Black House, gym he started teaching classes in Los Angeles. “I’ve started teaching pros three times a week. I got a good partnership with Joinha and Ed. It’s been a great experience, I’m sending my good vibes to the guys there”, tells. | Cordeiro analyzes Werdum VS. Nelson :: TATAME |

I will be suprised if we see the bulging belly on Nelson for this fight... Sounds like he is dropping a lot of weight from weight lifting. Not sure when this pic is actually from... |

Nelson doesnt have to fear Werdum's bjj, he is more then skilled enough on the ground to keep himself safe. I think Nelson is going to put a beating on Fabricio, and get the tko in the 2nd or 3rd.

This is the UFC's way of getting rid of Fabricio again. Have him get Ko'd by a man never going to win the title n send him packing. I have a feeling the UFC really dont like Werdum

Not sure when this pic is actually from... | That pic is from before his last fight with Mirko, and we all saw how he looked in the octagon. Reports were that he was around 245. If he has still been lifting weights and eating right since that fight, I am eager to see what he looks like now. IF Aaron Rosa can do it, Roy can, too! I hope he sticks with it as a lifestyle. He could be such a force if he was able to keep pace through his fights. That guy is one of the toughest SOB's in HW. Carwin and Roy are the only 2 guys in the UFC that have survived to a decision with JDS, and Carwin looked like he had been dragged through broken shards of glass. Quote:

Roy should be able to defend himself pretty well from getting taken down, but if it does go to the ground, he has more than a fair chance of being able to defend himself against Werdum. Another key factor, as it's been stated, is that it's very, very unlikely (not happening) that Werdum finishes Roy on the feet, but Roy has more than enough KO power to put Werdum's lights out, or score a TKO.
I hope Roy comes out in great shape and finishes Werdum. I'll always be a fan of Roy.
