Probably the same reason Penn was still higher then Edgar after their first fight; his overall record is much more impressive that that one fight wasn't quite enough, and the fight was very competitive.

Maia is too high imo, but overall it's really not as bad as people are saying. People hate on Belfort but the guy has been consistently dominant under 205 when he's not fighting Anderson Silva.

Anyways, serious though man, what is the deal with Maia still doing on your middleweight top 10 lists? I am honestly curious, maybe I am missing something. I provided my reasons why he should not be ranked where he is... I am trying to provide constructive criticism not talk shit on your ranking committee or lists.
