So what if the guy were to lose 10 in a row? as long as he aint being put out like in his last fight every fight the fuckin guy puts fans in seats he's what casual fan's pay to see and that's what the UFC needs right now in this Fox transition. | I disagree.. If you can't hang, then it's your time to go. It's different if they are like lytle who is insanely entertaining as well as skilled.. They need to win some fights, at least every other fight. 1-4 in your last 5 is not acceptable in the ufc, especially if you are fighting lower ranked fighters

Beltran has never really possessed "UFC-caliber contender" status, for me, he reminded me quite like a King of the Cage champion, whereby he's better than 90 percent of the MMA field who aren't full-time or necessarily gifted fighters and can brawl like hell and rack up wins because he's tough as nails, but nonetheless, he isn't an elite-level fighter when thrown into the UFC cage.
Prediction for Joey is 2 options:
1) Joey will go on throughout the rest of 2012 KO-ing and brawling with a lot of "ex-UFC cut" talents as well as "past their prime" HW names like Buentello, Sylvia etc and gets an invite back into the UFC, because he always brings it.
or
2) Joey enters the Bellator HW tourney and makes some noise(against similar brawlers) and gets a good degree of notice and bangs his way to a title shot and once again, a call from the UFC.
He's a great gatekeeper, they shouldn't have cut him. I expect to see him back 100%. | I think his record is part of the problem.
And he was was outclassed and exposed by Lavar Johnson, who is huge...but still, he lost his last 2 and everyone knows in order to defeat Lavar you have to take him down.
Unfortunately Joey was hurt within the first 10 seconds of the fight due to a body shot and never really recovered.
Now, if Joey's plan is to go to 205, then he should work that out in the local shows, and I am sure the UFC would be happy to invite him back if he gets 3 wins in a row.
I don't think he has the speed of movement for 205...but who knows.
UFC always claim they have the best fighters, and Joey isn't.
Love watching him fight. I wouldn't be surprised if an organisation signs him and Tony Lopez and they have a 3rd fight.
The only guy Joey has beaten that is still in the UFC is Aaron Rosa....and he has made the move to 205.
I am sure he will be back if he just gets a couple wins under his belt. 1-4 in his last 5...only if your name is Tito do you get to stay in the UFC with that type of record....and Joey wasn't fighting 4 ex UFC champs.
I just hope that he has more fight in him....because I love watching him fight. And I am sure I will see him in the local shows...hopefully it gets televised.

I think this makes a lot of sense. Now he can get down to 205 go to a smaller org to buikd his wins up and come back.

| Joey Beltran Released from UFC, Plans Move to Light Heavyweight | MMAWeekly.com Quote:
Despite the release, Beltran remained upbeat and optimistic about his future, including a planned cut to 205lbs.
“To all my fans, friends, family and supporters I will be back better than ever at a new weight class,” wrote Beltran. “Don’t worry about me at all!”
Beltran has always been considered a smaller heavyweight so a cut to light heavyweight could bring the heavy hitter new life, and possibly a second chance in the UFC down the road.

Hey I just want @danawhite @ufc @lorenzofertitta to know how thankful u am for the chance to live my dream and fight for the #ufc. Thank tou

@mexicutioner760 Are you done with MMA bro?
| He replied back with: Quote: |
@Mcmex no way dude I just turned 30 and I have a lot of miles left on this engine!
| So....be on a lookup for the new, lighter Mexicutioner in a local show near you (well....probably in Cali or Nevada)
PS. Shark Fights would be good...not sure what is up with them. I completely missed the last few Shark Fight shows. Apparently Shark Fights 21 made Bobby Lashley a HW champ. No clue who Shark Fights has at 205. Lashley vs Mexucitioner isn't going to happen and Buentello only fought once in 2011 and he is on Twitter and still working out....but he is over 250.
Maybe Seth Petruzelli or Ricco Rodriguez or someone under 230. Paul Buentello's Twitter

looking at the size of the guy, he could just eat more healthy and cut to 205. he's far too small for the guys he's facing and losing to if you ask me.
