| Diaz vs. Miller set as UFC on FOX 3 main event; Barry vs. Johnson added to card Diaz vs. Miller set as UFC on FOX 3 main event; Barry vs. Johnson added to card Quote:
An intriguing lightweight matchup between Nate Diaz (15-7 MMA, 9-5 UFC) and Jim Miller (21-3 MMA, 12-2 UFC) will serve as the main event of UFC on FOX 3.
The matchup, which was announced in January, will now be contested as a five-round affair.
Additionally, a heavyweight bout featuring sluggers Pat Barry (7-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC) and Lavar Johnson (16-5 MMA, 1-0 UFC) has also been added to the evening's main card.
UFC officials announced the changes late Wednesday night.
UFC on FOX 3 takes place May 5 at IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J.

Wow Berry vs Johnson... size difference much, guess Barry showed he could deal with much taller opponents already though. Maybe Johnson because UFC is trying to set Berry up for the much desired sub.

Johnson is a striker also though, I think it will be a standup war. I think Pat wins this though

I think if Pat can wear him out with leg kicks he could win but if not Johnson is going to KO him.

I don't know, Johnson has shown he's got a really mean jab and he's a lot bigger. Should be a good fight but again Barry is going in with a huge disadvantage.
Diaz/Miller is a great fight, can't wait for that.

You can definitely see that the UFC is targeting fights that they think are going to be exciting instead of using "big name" fighters. Since the last two cards are being considered lackluster from a casual fan perspective, this move makes perfect sense.

I love both of these fights. This is what casual fans need to see make them come back. Pat Barry is their new go-to guy for these free fight cards. Never a boring fight from these guys.

The Miller/Diaz fight is gonna be a WAR, but I'm going for my boy Miller all day on this one(although Nate looked incredible against Cowboy).
I'm slightly frightened for Pat Barry.
Lavar was No Joke against Beltran.
But if Barry can take out those legs on that beast he could be the quicker man & actually get the KO.

Hell if Lytle was still fighting he would be on them all.
The prob with marketing fights is you never know what you are going to get. I remeber seeing cards that on paper looked not to great, but had the best damn fights, and flip-flopped
They will target the casual fan, because they know they have us! The not so hardcore fans want too see fight like Bonner v Forrest or Lights out v Davis for every fight and that just won't happen
