When talking about over-rated fighters...Frank Trigg immediately comes to mind...after all - the guy got submitted by the same hold 3 times in a row.

The guy gave up his back each time and got submitted by a rear-naked choke...once even after he hit Matt hard in the nuts.

What Dennis Halman did to his arm in the ADCC competition (for kicking him in the nuts in a previous fight years before) was what a nut-hitting cheater like Trigg deserves.

Other than that..I'd have to say Tito.

But as a smart politician and businesman, as a dedicated trainer, and a guy that knows how to work the fans and put asses in the seats...Tito's way better than most.

Ok, this post is for the most overrated, Liddell is not the most overrated. Just a little overrated. (BTW on a side note, has anyone seen his appearance in "How High" pretty funny).

I'm gonna have to go with Diego Sanchez and Nick Daiz for most overrated. Diego is 18-0, yes I'll give him that. But who has he fought? 18-0 with wins over second rated fighters. The only win he has right now that has any merit is over Kenny Florian. Who was fighting 185 and should have been no where near that wieght. The last fight he had he should have lost, and everyone in that arena knew it.

Now for Nick Diaz. One lucky KO over Lawler and everyone thought this kid was the next big thing. Well now he has acctually fought decent fighters and lost the last 3 fights in a row. He lost to Joe Riggs who was submitted by Swick in like 2 mins. Sean Sherk is probably about to be submitted by Florian. And Sanchez is going to get ripped apart by Karo. Everyone had this guy in the contender list, but I think the last fights speak for themselves he was just a pretender.

Nick Diaz is pretty good all his losses were close fights. He also submitted Jeremy Jackson twice.I like Kenflo he's one of my favorite fighters ,but like I've said b4 his only chancxe of winning is to catch Sean with one of his sharp elbows and cut him open.

I think people tend to over look the fact that Nick is only 23.Chuck didn't become champ till he was in his 30's.Nick will still improve and once he gets everything together this guy is going to be threat to any opponent.

I think Leben is the most overrated. Don't get me wrong, he IS 15-2, and he is probably among the best when you compare him to Swick or Koscheck, BUT, he is overrated because he seems to think he is in the same league as Silva and Franklin, which he clearly is not.

He is a good fighter, will likely continue to improve if he can keep his head on straight, but not as good as the top middleweights.

a fighter thinking there in the same league as the best in the division doesnt make them overrated.

other people thinking there one of the best in the division is what makes them overrated. any fighter who has anything should have cofidence and think they are good otherwise they have no chance.

as for overrated Rickson Gracie by far. he hasnt beaten anyone remotely good in mma and the way people talk about him he is god. that the defenition of overrated. you could put most of the gracies in the same boat. royce included. they did a lot for the sport but they were never as good as people talked.
