|  most overrated pro mma fighter?
this is an obvious one for me.. without a doubt my number 1 pick is chris leben. holy cow that guy really sucks. he has only fought chumps an barely beat them. he finally gets a real fight an we shall see how overrated he is without a doubt... i used to like him, so hopefully he can make me eat my words. but i highly doubt it, everyone thinks he is so good an so does he. but hello, he's F'N GARBAGE!

Im gonna go out on a limb right now and piss some people off but I'm gonna say Chuck Liddell. Who has he beaten? An old Corture who when he was younger whipped Liddell's ass. Jeremy Horn who shouldn't have been fighting at 205 anyway. The only reason he did is so Liddell could have his revenage and be a legitment champ. Vernon White barely has a winning record. And he hasnt fought since he beat Corture for a third time. Now don't get me wrong, I like Liddell. I just think he is overrated.

I just think he is overrated. | ima have to agree with you, Liddell is great I wouldnt say hes vastly overrated but just a tad bit overrated.. your right he beat Couture twice, but Couture is a great wrestler who was standing with Chuck for way too long in both fights.. and the 3rd fight he was winning up until he tripped on who knows what and got KO'd.. Couture confused me in both fights cuz hes more then capable of taking Chuck down. Vernon White isnt exactly a threat to Chucks title either. But Babalu is a worthy opponent so we'll see.

Guys, if you wanna go that far with nit-picking you could say Fedor is overrated. Fujita almost KO'd him, Randleman slammed him on his head and almost killed him (exaggeration - like this whole example, bare in mind), the Nog win was at the end of his run and the second fight he woulda lost if he hadn't been cut, etc. The thread said who is the MOST overrated pro MMA fighter. When you come in with names like Leben and Liddell, you're looking to get bitch-slapped via text.

I'm the furthest thing from a Leben fan, but I don't see how he is overrated. He's 15-1 with quality wins. He didn't have a good showing on TUF, but neither do alot of guys that are the favorites to win the contract. I don't know many that rate Leben that high anyway besides TUF newbies. But if he somehow miraculously beats Anderson Silva, no one will call him overrated.

Based on the way people talk about Leben, I can KIND of see that one. Because there's a whole different legion of fans in the sport now. If you ever at any time of day, any day of week, check the comment script on MMANews.com posts, EVERY SINGLE TIME I check it the main topic being argued is people defending Leben against anyone. I mean like in almost silly fashion, but it's obvious they ain't joking. To people who see him like that, he's overrated. But just looking at him as a fighter, he's easily earned everything he's got. He belongs in the UFC, he belongs in the title hunt, and we'll see what happens tonight with Anderson Silva. His UFC.com audio interview (Leben's) sounded so confident, I'm looking forward to this fight even more because of it.

Yeah I was kind of referring to those type of people that you mention. I try to stay away from that little comment script thing. Those people are nuts. I do agree that Leben is a solid fighter on the cusp of breaking out big time. A win over Anderson Silva would definitely be the thing to do that. I too am looking forward to the fight tonight. The whole card actually. It's definitely the best UFN on paper so far. Just hope all the fights play out.
