Something else to think about while we wait for confirmation that it was a failed drug test: What are the odds the UFC has a specific clause in the contract about a failed drug test given Nick's past issues?
I would wager that such a clause likely exists.

Alcohol may make people think they're tough, but the right amount of high can take the edge off and you just don't feel any pain until much later or the next day.

I never really understood this argument, since being high weakens you in so many other ways that would hurt you when you need to fight. The only drug that would be beneficial right before a fight would be some sort of amphetamine.

Maybe it takes away the nerves or whatever, but it worked out.

fighters in pride were always being accused of taking pain killers before fights, i could see the benefits of taking 2 t3's before some hit me a bunch of times, but weed i couldnt see the benefit there, i smoke weed before i do lots of things but before a fight wouldnt be one of them

wowowawweeewwwaaa... i think what was really interesting was GSP saying hed give up the belt to fight Diaz.. does that mean World Champion isnt his only goal? he actually wants to fight Diaz more than being champion i find that pretty interesting... (what does that say of his opinion of Carlos)
i really hope there isnt any truth to him getting in trouble.. Diaz needs to fight or i really dont know how his life will start turning out (there is only so much energy he can spend being someone elses coach)

Condit beating Diaz put a lot of piss in a lot of people's cheerios. Diaz winning was supposed to be a formality on the way to the big PPV fight between Diaz and GSP. I think it's hilarious. I'll admit I was looking forward to the fight as well, but after watching Condit beat Diaz I think he's earned the right to fight GSP and I absolutely despise the fact that Dana wants an immediate rematch to try and get his original plan back in order. Dana and the UFC are showing complete disrespect to Condit in their actions following the fight. Typical Dana. The idea that GSP and Diaz should still fight is absurd and centered around money only. Condit won a close decision, but not a controversial decision. Let Diaz earn his way back like everyone else. In my mind all I can hear is Dana's fat ass screaming "no fair, no fair...do over, do over!"
