I don't think it will be a cakewalk for Mirko any more than the Pride division was, but we'll see. Also don't think that Mirko will rocket to the top of the division and have big fights anytime soon. The UFC sometimes has questionable matchmaking so don't be surprised if it's not until mid-to-late 2008 that you see Mirko vs. AA or Tim.

what the hell are you thinking, not til mid 2008 to late 2008 before you see that, he will be ufc champ before the end of 2007, he has 6 fights 2 year deal means 3 fights a year, and mirko might even want to fight 4 times this year you never no, if he dont get a title shot after this, his 3rd fight will be for the title

plus ufc didnt spend all that money on mirko not to put him in the champ light soon as possible, they know with the kind of highlight reel is can make and the knock outs he is going to produce he is going to be a big draw for them and need him with the belt soon

I think 'punchers chance' pretty much describes the situation with Mirko in the UFC HW division

I see Arlovski as a peer to some of Pride's lower end top 5 for sheer skills. I mean, his performance against Pedro Rizzo was almost identical to Josh Barnett's. AA would be a threat IMO, although his chin gives Cro Cop a big edge. I think Cro Cop/Tim would be similar to Aleks or Fujita in terms of threat. Brandon Vera may've had a better chance, but he hasn't really been tested yet.

maybe I'm sleeping on Arlovski, but I don't see him on that level at all. he just seems to me like one of those guys that has many tools but just can't put it together. mentally, I don't think he's there.

aa has the tools its just his chin, it gets a tap and he is down thats his only problem,
