Yikes, Shields wins an ugly and lackluster decision.....nothin new here lol! It's funny, I totally changed my pick ems yesterday afternoon when I saw Shields at the weigh-in, he just didn't look like he gave a damn and seemed to have a harder cut than Akiyama.

Shields just doesn't look that good at WW anymore. He just doesn't have the same gusto and power since he jumped up for the SF MW run..... His cardio is always in question now and he hasn't been able to advance his striking in spite of training with the Diaz brothers.

I don't really believe we'll see Jake as a top tier WW with his current approach. Very lackluster & lackadaisical.

What baffles me is how his boxing style ain't nothing good compared to the likes of Diaz' bros or even Gilberts which he trains with...?

I know he must have a lot of faith in his wrestling but at least show some improvement with his hands.
