They are probably equal in skill if Ronda doesnt have the edge. Mainstream mma fans do not grasp that concept. Most people dont grasp the concept that just being a woman does not give you the right to talk infinite shit to everyone with no consequences.
I say if she wants to challenge dudes, let them fight. Show the world that women have no place fighting, in or out of the cage. Every big womens mma fight has been a squash match with one outsizing the other by seemingly two weight classes, so this would be about par. It was not entertaining to me at all to see one fighter with a monumental strength advantage throw another at will before breaking (almost) both arms before getting the tap. IMO very similar to watching a man dominate a woman to the point of broken bones...same thing in cyborg vs carano.
It made me feel disgusted that this is what the sport has come to....angles, promos, heat, false finishes and women fighting. MMA is no longer fighting, its closer to pro-wrestling. Were going to see awesome kong vs chyna in a cage next. | No one "challenged" anyone, they both were just meaninglessly prattling away and talking trash.
As for the rest of your post, I dont know what fights you've been watching but there have been several great womens fights and fighters. Last night two great athletes put on an entertaining battle. The division may not be a deep as some of the mens divisions but it can and should continue to grow.

Bryan Caraway is a fighter in the UFC following his stint on the last season of The Ultimate Fighter, but he is also the boyfriend of Miesha Tate, and that is what is most important heading into tomorrow night. Tate will be defending her Strikeforce title against Ronda Rousey in what has developed into quite the grudge match over the past few weeks.
Today, Caraway lost it a bit on Twitter, going on a rant about knocking Rousey's teeth out and breaking her arm if she wants to challenge him (a man), explaining that men and women are not equal and then calling Ronda an "unintelligent bimbo."
| I think he has the right to say oh yeah, "I can beat you, lets spar, or grapple, or have a fight." But I think it got a little sexist with the unintelligent bimbo part, and her not being equal, and knocking her teeth out. I think it is one thing to fire back, but I just think as a UFC fighter and their previous pollicies that he went a bit overboard. We can agree to disagree on this. I am not saying he should be locked up, or fined, or anything like that, I am just saying that I do not think what he did was equal to what Rousey did. Lots of women are battered each year, and he should have been more respectful, IMO.

Welp, Ronda just made sure that Caraway isn't getting a handjob anytime soon. Quote:

Im all for rape defense classes, but thats not what were talking about here. They should not be training for the sport of mma.
In addition to the above, by the time a woman is in the gym trying to work with me, its too late to tell her no. Instead, ill handicap myself like i would if i were training with a child, or just work movement/positioning rather than damage. That is not equal standards. Quote:

in bryan's defense, rousey (who is now officially my favorite female fighter) took the first verbal jab...i believe something to the effect of she'd beat tate's ass and her bf and even referred to him as bryan tate lol.
i'd prolly be a lil pissed too if some chick did everything she said she was gonna do to my gf and was calling me out at the same time lol.
in other news, rousey is fuckin BEAST.

So using your logic from your previous post, there should be no women in the Olympics or really, females doing any sport at all, because men are physically better. Is that seriously what you are hinting at?
I love watching some chick fights. Last night was a great one. Gina vs Cyborg was also a good one. Coenen vs Meisha was good. Sarah Kaufman throws and moves her head like a guy...really like her boxing skills.
She said what she said to help sell the fight. Even my 10 year old nephew knows that. Bryan Caraway apparently isn't that perceptive...as a 10 year old boy.
I saw her get under Meisha's skin too...Meisha didn't do what she should have and executed a better gameplan.
Regardless of Cyborg's piss test, just watch her do a baby powerbomb on Tito Ortiz. Or watch Kaufmann's KO slam Modafferi.
Chicks are only getting better. Just remember the HW division in the UFC 5 years ago and how much it has improved. Fighters actually have stamina now. Same with chicks. They used to have 3 minute rounds. So many more skilled female MMA fighters today. And in female MMA, you can still be really strong in one aspect of the fight game and win...and it makes for really entertaining fights sometimes....I like the fact there isn't a stacked group of super well rounded fighters. I like when specialists go at it sometimes. Definitely keeps things entertaining and unpredictable.
PS. Notebook is a movie

I have no clue how anyone could shit on women's MMA if they watched last night's fights. Both matches were awesome because the ladies showed tremendous skill and more heart than most of their male counterparts. They gave more for the fans than many fighters. There are fighters like Rampage and Anthony Johnson who don't give a fuck and it shows, yet these women bring it everytime and almost every fight is amazing. I don't understand how some people can hold such small-minded views.
MMA is clearly NOT wrastlin'. There an issue with your perception if you actually compare the two.
Open your mind, little people.
