To me, personally, this is refreshing news. I was worried JDS was going in there to have a fuckin tea party with Overeem. Or sell him renters insurance. But hell, KOing him sounds like a much better idea.

This COULD be a beautiful fight but I suspect it will not and I refuse to make a bet. I hope Overeem is a gamer and his issues early in his career were all related to the weight cut. | Yeah, I can see that. I think JDS catchs him pretty early and puts AO away. I am a huge JDS fan though, so my Bias is there. Quote:

I think some people misunderstand his "jiu jitsu is Plan B" comment. If you've seen his training footage, he's got a really slick takedown game from his striking so I think if he's not getting the better of the stand up (something I really doubt, Overeem is slow on his feet and with his set ups) he can take Overeem down and sub him. I am actually going with JDS by choke ...

I rewatched the AO/FW fight and the RN/JDS fight and they will both need to be better in this fight than they were in those.

Glass dome????
You should go back and watch Overeem's fights.....Chuck took him out free and clear but that shot would have KO'ed Cabbage and Dan Henderson at the same time (and he was gassed from being taken down after beating Chuck's ass to start off). Sergei's KO was a matter of his being completely gassed, Shogun took him down and wore him out once and the second time he landed that HUGE diving shot followed by a crushing right, Arona damaged the nerves in his leg and he could not plant, Li'l Nog hit him hard and his corner stopped it WAY early even though he likely won the first round, etc.
Moreover, you don't think a person's ability to take a shot has anything to do with weight cut and cardio???? I hope you are kidding.

It's hard to say who will come out on top, but somebody is getting knocked out within the first 3 minutes.

I'm going JDS. But as a JDS fan this is my biggest scare. I was worried about Carwin, and he lit him up. Actually thought he would walk through Cain, and he did. I think JDS got a lot of momentum and a shitload of skill to back it up. I think his speed, angles and his right will be too much for Overeem. I think JDS will get off first and that is going to be pretty big in this fight. I do not want to see the JDS straight to the body though, his head is left wide open, and an elite striker like Overeem will easily counter it, possibly sending his head off. I can't wait for this card.
