If Tito wants to be honest with the world and everyone else, he will admit that it should have been stopped in the first round. I think McCarthy would have stopped it at either time. Shut up Tito.

You guys are crazy for one Tito did an alright job in that fight hell he won the second round in my eyes, and who knows we could have seen Tito win round 4 so i want Chuck vs Tito 3 on Spike or HBO.

The fight was not stopped early tito was lying there in fetal position, and then he sat up? so what so he sat up and put his big head right in front of chuck big deal if it wasn't stopped his face was about to get smashed in, if it was truly premature, he would have argued it after the fight obviously he felt beaten, and thats thats, titos a cry baby, he always has excuses, Tito v.s chuck three= pointless, no more pointless rematch please. Unless tito proves himself all over again, and beats every single LHW in the division haha

haha at no point in the fight was Chuck in any danger at all. Tito couldnt get Liddell on the ground and keep him there so he was screwed and I'm sure he knew it in his head as well. Tito's lucky they didnt stop it in the 1st because Liddell looked like he did more damage in the 1st then when the fight was stopped later on. Either way Tito should know better than to roll into the fetal position if he wanted the fight to keep going. We would of just seen Tito get KO'd or TKO'd(strikes) if the fight had kept goin anyways. No point for a Chuck/Tito 3.

i have doubts about the validity of the article. alot of the facts are way off.

with that said. i don't think it was a bad stoppage. it goes right inline with the way most refs have been calling fights the last 2+ years. they stop most fights when a guy isn't fighting back, sure tito was defending off the shots and didn't take to much damage. tito only popped up when mario started to move in. if tito had the ability to just get up, he should have done it sooner. i don't think it was a bad call. sure the fight could have continued. but like i said they seem to bundle not defending yourself and not fighting back into the same thing. and all the top refs stop it now with that in mind. we aren't going to see exhausted beat up fighters not fighting back get beat into unconsciousness. those days are gone. i do wish they let things go alittle longer sometimes. but mma isn't a rocky movie. most guys once they are beat they are done, you don't see many times were a guy comes back from the brink of disaster to come out on top.

For those who are saying it was stopped early cause at the time of the stopage tito wasnt getting hurt...You can't just look at those last few seconds. you have to look at the fight in it's entirety because tito obiously was fighting scared and was lucky to get out early

I think Tito would've whined right after the fight if he felt it was a bad stop. Also, I think he sat up right as the ref jumped in there to save face and make it seem like I was getting up. I agree that if you're in the fetal position, the fight should end.

BJM would've stopped the fight in the first round.

Now lets say this article is legit and Tito really thought it was a bad stop. Does he not get instructions from the ref before the fight in the change room? I think Tito should've said something to the ref along the lines of, "If this fight goes into the third round Chuck will be too tired to hurt me, so if he has me down in a later round I may be playing possum, so make sure the stop is legit as I could be trying to wear him out." I think fighters should tell the ref their game plan for different situations. Think the 2nd Shamrock fight that was possibly an early stoppage, Ken should've told the ref if he gets taken down he can eat a couple to set up a leg lock.

How do we know this article is accurate? How come everytime a Fedor or Cro Cop article is up you guys ask for proof but with Tito everyone assumes its for real?

this article goes along with everything I thought about the fight at the time. Tito survived the first onslaught and was defending intelligently throughout the second one. As far as the fight goes if the fight had not been stopped when it was and Tito made it out of the third we would have Chuck up 2 rounds to 1 and who knows what would have happened after that. I'm not really that upset about the fight because Tito fought well (with the exception of the few times he went diving at Chuck's legs without setting it up first) and showed class in defeat when he easily could have complained about the stoppage. I just don't understand how you can stop the fight in the third if you let it get past that pummeling in the first.

the article is bullshit, again it was for the light heavyweight title, and tito ask bjm not to ref the fight, 2 facts way off so i think the article is bullshit. and plus even tho im a huge tito fan he went into fetal and thats grounds to stop the fight
