Hendo gets to wait to fight either Jones, Rashad, Silva, or Sonnen, for the gold...
Hendo status.
He sure would have one of the best careers in MMA if he not only wins either title, but if he beats Jones or Anderson, and retires. If he was successful in all of that, I would forever have to refer to him as Dan Motherfucking Henderson. Dan has one of the best chins ever. That thing has held up all this time and still doesn't look like it's collecting much rust.

I think Anderson would have knocked him out in the 1st fight, Dan realized this and dropped to the ground, tried to latch on to Anderson's leg and failed.
I think if he chooses to stand and bang with Anderson then he will most likely get KO'd.
That being said if he wrestles Anderson like Chael did (and he did in round 1 of the 1st fight) then he could win over 5 rounds.
Against Jones is too hard to call. Jones has a massive size and reach advantage but I don't think he has the power to KO Hendo. I also don't know if he would be able to keep Hendo down and have no idea how he would cope if Hendo dropped him on his back or hit him with an overhand right. I think some of these questions should be answered when Jones fights Rashad (assuming Jones wins!).
Either way, i am pumped for any of the fights.
I do wonder though, what would happen if the unthinkable happened and both Chael and Rashad won, who do you think Hendo would like to fight most? I know him and Chael are buddies but i would assume Rashad is a better all round fighter than Chael and would be the harder fight.

You are assuming he can continously take Silva down at will. Something I don't think Sonnen will be able to do as easily in a rematch since the circumstances will be different.
Because Silva has a tendency to drop his guard (like he did against Yushin) in an attempt to lure his opponent into an exchange I actually think Hendo would have a better chance getting a TKO.
By the way Henderson didn't exactly do any effective damage to Silva in that round short of top control and blocking his breathing.
I like the fact that there is a 75% chance that we will get to see Henderson fight another wrestler with above avg striking.

If Hendo goes out and beats either Silva or Jones at this age.... I got no problem putting him near GOAT status... at least top 5 fighter of all time.

If he beats either guy he will at least go down as the most accomplished MMA fighter of all time (IMO he already is) and he will have a very strong case for best of all time.
