hendo already owns victories over arguably the 2 greatest heavyweights of all time. might as well give him a heavyweight title shot. hendo is definitely more known than overeem so the potential ppv buyrates would be pretty massive imho.

and imagine if hendo were to win the ufc heavyweight title and go on to face anderson for hte middleweight title! EPIC!

i dont think he is afraid of shogun or anything. its just a matter of getting what has been owed to him by the UFC. shogun is not the champ and hendo is the#1 contender for ummmm one of the belts......

I always felt if you deserve to be champion then you should be able and willing to fight everyone because your the best in the world.

Also I get your point but even with that logic people saying bendo is such a beast and willing to take any fight is dead wrong

There is no logical reason for him to fight shogun right now. He beat him and even though shogun showed tremendous heart and rallied back to win the last two rounds, Hendo still won the first three.

And I agree Hendo won't take just any fight not when he has been promised the next crack at a title. Why would he want to risk losing that opportunity? Especially at his age. This will prob be his last shot at a UFC belt. Why risk it I ask why?

Big Hendo fan. You have to admire the courage. He has always been willing to fight the big guys.

But it is a joke at how many people give him a legit shot. Just like JJ and Anderson, Hendo stands no chance against JDS either. He would not be able to take JDS down, he would get lit the fuck up with hands, and even if he does land that big shot, JDS has taken some huge shots from guys like carwin and nelson and kept pushing forward. JDS would actually have the speed advantage as well.

Hendo stands his best chance by far against Anderson. I still say Anderson picks him apart standing or subs him. But he has a far greater chance than against JDS or JJ. He would barley have a slight punchers chance in those fights.

Hendo knows he only has so many fights left in him, and another war with Shogun can end his career. It's not worth the risk.
