If for nothing but excitement I hope Hermes wins, Sherk is a good fighter but there is nothing exciting about him. If hermes wins it leads to some great fights down the road with guys like Tyson Griffin, Joe Stevenson, BJ Penn, and Melvin Guillard. I would much rather see Franca fight those guys instead of Sherk.

Hes not going to beat sherk, is stand up is to sloppy so that head down swinging for the fences isnt going to work in this fight. Sherk will be able to take him down at will. Sherk has never been subed so i really dont think he will be in this fight. I believe karo is alot better on the ground then franca but again you cant compare 2 fighters. Another factor in this fight is Sherk is a monster at lw and i dont think franca will be able to deal with the strength of sherk. Not alot of people will at lw. Sherks striking looked good against gsp and there was a big height difference. So i think Sherk will Dominate this fight much like he did with kenflo.

I agree. I would much rather Franca win but I just dont see it happening.

Franca had a hard time defending the take down attempts of Jamie Varner....


So he's going to be working off his back for a good portion of the fight.

and sherk is a good fighter only losses coming from the top 2 ww being hughes and gsp i think franca will have a hard time trying to sub, and if he gets caught sherk is powerful enough to get out of it, i just dont see how he can win this fight unless sherk gets sloppy and gets caught in a sub and i dont see that happening
