i agree with everyone who said they are just building him up. he doesn't have enough in-cage experience to fight the big names...yet.
possible next fights:
forrest--forrest wins, but evans has a good chance
machida--could go either way, machida has the edge
david heath--heath takes it
corey walmsley--either way again
he would really have to improve his striking a bit before taking on any of these guys, but he's got a shot. i would also like ti see him fight sinosic | Rashad would destroy Forrest, Better striking Better wrestling and a hell of alot more explosive.

I cast my vote for Rashad/Forrest. Rashad'll get another victory under his belt (unless Forrest can miraculously prepare some sick takedown defense), this time against a name, and it'll be entertaining.

This is one thing taht pisses me off about ufc too, they wanna hype up rashad and give him the title shot... look in the long term hes l=young and a few losses to tough opponents will help him grow and give u a better return in the long run

It could really boost whoever wins as they are both good fighters who are rising in the UFC ranks. Each man might have another fight before it happens though.

UFC is building Evans to be a top competitor in UFC. With his inexperience, tossing him in the octagon with a "big name" could kill his credibility. You thought it was bad before? He is more popular after the kick than he ever was, and UFC will use that to their advantage. Before Rashad gets any sort of big fight, he will be used as the main draw for UFN a few more times to bring in raitings.
He has a lot going for him right now. Why feed him to someone when you can bank off of what he has accomplished?

in terms of marketing, an undefeated rashad has alot more value. As we've seen the UFC can, at times, only cared about making money rather than make solid matches. Hopefully, this will change soon.

Six months ago I thought Forrest would kill Rashad in a fight...now I feel Rashad could finish him...Forrest needs to revert back to when he fought Bonnar I, he looked 10 pounds heavier than against Rashad, hm mb may have some cardio issues if he went back 10 pounds heavier but he was more muscular and confident for that fight, also looked good against Mahood - take the fight to the ground Forrest!!! - and Bonnar II. Ok this is weird but against Jardine you'll notice his left arm is shorter than it usually is...look at Bonnar I, his left is longer than his right..anyways...
