If Hendo pulls off the upset and gives Jones his first legit loss... this would give Henderson another belt again and make his record 29-8. Where would you rank him all time if he pulls of this incredible accomplishment? Now even though Hendo has that joke of a loss againt Shields and two losses to Lil Nog in which he did beat him once.... Hendo still has wins against top talents from MULTIPLE weight classes. Here are a list of his notable wins: Fedor, Wandy, Shogun, Belfort, Franklin, Bisping, Babalu, etc. This already is a very impressive list of wins in which Hendo has beat these guys ranging in weight from middleweight, Light heavyweight, and heavy weight. Some might already say Hendo is the GOAT due to this list. Some also say that Jones is the best fighter in the game right now... if Hendo goes in and takes his belt and adds Jones to his list of accomplishments... where does it put him?

He is already near the top because of his insanely impressive resume. It's not so much adding Jones that matters, albeit it is a very nice name to add, its the UFC title. Adding the UFC title would pretty much cement him as the best of all time. Titles in Pride, Strikeforce and the UFC, tourny wins in Rings, UFC and Pride, wins over Fedor, Big Nog, Wandy Silva, Shogun, Franklin and Jones. It would be very hard to argue anyone being ranked over him in all time great list.

Big "what if" here.

Someone can win in unconvincing fashion for example. It also depends on what Jones does after this supposed lost, if Hendo beats him then Jones beats everyone until he retires then that is pretty significant. Then you have to think there would be a guaranteed rematch right away.

What if Hendo beat Jones in back to back fights with H Bombs and Jones never loses to anyone else in his career? Is Hendo the best of all time? What if Hendo wins then loses the rematch, where does that rank him?

I agree. Hendo's list of wins might be the most impressive out there. I already have him at least top 5 fighter of all time. Probably top 3 to be honest. If Hendo goes out and just beats Jones.... I have no problem cementing Hendo as the great of all time. Im a big Jones fan too, I would be honored for Hendo to put a whoopin on Jones and take the belt. Hendo is very likeable and a good dude. I already cant wait to see that fight.

PS: I still to this day have no fucking clue how that clown Shields beat Hendo... especially with the string of victories Hendo has put together after that loss.

Horrible weight cut for Dan plus he had a major back injury.

Hendo does the testosterone replacement so it's hard to judge. For me, the hendo/Shogun fight was so close that I gave it to Shogun based on "if hendo didn't have the testosterone replacement, would he have survived the last couple rounds?, would he have done as well in the first few?"

Either way, all time rank, I'd rank him pretty high based off his ability to move through weight classes and beat the top fighters. His win over Fedor really catapulted his all time status. I also give it to him based off the fact that he fights rather than tries to win off points and avoid fighting.

Thanks for the 411... I did not know Hendo had a back injury prior to that fight. Makes alot of sense now seeing how Shield was able to take a hold of Hendo and take him down.

Dan is already the man, if he beats jones, he would then call out anderson to a 205 finale and then depending on the outcome would go out as #1 or 2 all-time, i usually hate what ifs but this is too much fun not to fathom, i just want someone to really hurt jones, a champion needs to bleed alittle before i can accept him, this fight cant come soon enough have they announced a date yet... july 4th card may be for the new captain america of the ufc, dan henderson need ufc gold around his waist to cement his G.O.A.T. legacy if anderson wont give him the rematch bones will fill the platter just as well if not better. my only concern is i bet jones wants to take this fight to the ground asap and finsh hendo like he did the janitor or rampage if hendo tires he will be very susteptable to jones' size and skill on the ground. standing i have no doubt jones is getting lit up
