Munoz/Lombard would be dynamite, maybe having Lawler jump over to UFC would be something special.
I just can't shake that he's in for a rude awakening with the heightened step up in competition.

However, Bellator was in a matching period with the fighter, and according to MMAFighting.com, Bellator CEO and Chairman declined to match a lucrative UFC deal that includes pay-per-view bonuses for Lombard. (Only the UFC's top talent gets such PPV deals.)
| Wow. That tells me they really wanted him. I think a returning Leben would be the perfect fight for him. Great way to introduce him.

Robbie Lawler is not in the UFC. And IMO Lombard is ranked way higher than Lawler.

Lombard IMO is only ranked high because he's a tomato can crusher with an awesomely padded record. He's a really, really GOOD fighter, but when you look at his record, I find it hard to find five fighters of relevance he's beaten in the past few years and the competition is going to be a massive step-up once he joins the deep UFC MW division.
Like I've said before, I believe we'll see a Jorge Santiago-esque scenario with Hector....only I believe Jorge had the better, deeper challengers.

I'm disappointed that it is unlikely that we are going to see that rematch anytime soon. Quote:

As much as I would like to see him knocked out again I do not think that is the right fight yet. I like Belcher but really they need to put him against Bisping. Lombard is on a huuuuuge win streak (regardless of opponents) and really should get someone near the top. Since he won't I'd like to see him fight Cantwell, Herman or hell even Cung Le.

I mean he's lost 5 straight and still never heard of him being cut.
