| Jon Jones Opens as Monstrous Favorite Over Dan Henderson Jon Jones Opens as Monstrous Favorite Over Dan Henderson Quote:
When Jon Jones next defends his UFC light heavyweight title, against Dan Henderson, he’ll enter the fight not only as the favorite, but a huge overwhelmingly so.
According to Nick Kalikas of BetonFighting.com, Jones will enter his next title defense as a monster favorite facing former Pride and Strikeforce champion Dan Henderson.
The odds currently have Jon Jones listed as a -565 favorite with the comeback on the underdog Henderson at +385.
While the numbers may seem somewhat out of whack for a title fight, the fact is Jones has been a huge favorite in his last few fights and delivered every single time.

I'm horrible at these betting numbers. I don't know what that means.
Pretty much if I bet $2 on Henderson and he wins I become a Millionaire, right?

Pretty much if I bet $2 on Henderson and he wins I become a Millionaire, right? | The money line basically represents the percentage of your bet you win as a reward. If Dan Henderson is +385, you win $385 if you bet $100. (Or $3.85 if you bet $1) With Jones being -565, you'd have to bet $565 to win $100, mathematically. (Or $5.65 to win just $1) and so on. I just figured it out a few weeks ago, UFC 145 was my first time ever betting on fights. I won $2.50! Haha Would have won $892 if all 5 of my picks came through.

Wouldn't exactly call the odds "monstrous", they seem pretty reasonable. Still wouldn't bet on Hendo, I would need like 10:1 odds to take that bet.

You just bet on an underdog that you think can pull it out, and then one or two other fighters than your confident in, and you can win some good money. I was thinking it would be smart to throw some money on diaz since he's the dog in his fight with miller, then like Dennis Bermudez over Pablo Garza (since he's not a big favorite) and Palhares (quick win for him imo).
Glad to hear you won big on your first bet though.

So if we were to convert this to a ratio, i.e. 5:1, how much is Jones favored and how do you convert it to that when you get the numbers we have, i.e. -565?
