Wagering lines for UFC 148′s main card
Favorites (-) Underdogs (+)

Dong Hyun Kim -140
Demian Maia +110

Cung Le +250
Rich Franklin -350

Tito Ortiz +220
Forrest Griffin -300

Dominick Cruz -230
Urijah Faber +180

Chael Sonnen +220
Anderson Silva -300

How Fight Odds Work

Unlike a spread on a football game where one team is getting a certain amount of points (ex. Saints +7), in MMA fights the line on the game is what's called a money line.
Chael Sonnen +220
Anderson Silva -300

In this fight, Silva would be the favorite and at -300 it means for every $3.00 you bet, you will win $1 if he wins the fight. So if you bet $300 on Silva and he wins, you'd profit $100. If Silva were to lose though, you'd lose the full $300.

If you were to bet on Sonnen at +220, you would win $2.20 for every $1 you bet. So if you bet $100 on Sonnen and he wins the fight, you will profit $220. If Sonnen were to lose the fight, you'd lose your original $100 bet.

I think those are all some pretty good odds for the underdogs. They all have a damn good chance of winning their fights.

I was just gonna say, an underdog parlay isn't beyond the realm of possibilities. Heck, a fave parlay could probably warrant you some nice change.

Betting on Tito would be a big mistake man lol +220 odds aren't the greatest based on how easily Forrest won their 2nd fight and based off of how quickly Tito wilted in his last fight...but anything is possible and it would make the bet that much more valuable if he did win.

I would definitely consider throwing down some money on a parlay involving Cung, Maia, and Cruz...+250 seems pretty good for Cung, he's got power in his hands and kicks and Franklin's chin is a question mark...plus if Chuck can break his arm with a kick then Cung can definitely do that as well.

Really?? Tito gassed and didnt do anything in the last round and gave it away. He won won of the first 2 rounds and the other was really close.

I'm surprised how big of an underdog Sonnen is, but the rest seem pretty reasonable.

WOW those odds are really surprising i do not see why franklin and forrest are so heavily favored. i think kim is overrated and can definitely lose to maia. also a firm beleiver that chael will take the belt.

id probably say this would have to be by far the best chance in ufc history for all 5 main card fights to be upsets even though id be shocked if faber were to win.
