| Ben Rothwell vs Travis Browne added to UFC On Fox $ UFC 146 Doesn't Have All the Big Men; UFC on Fox 4 Gets Browne vs. Rothwell | MMAWeekly.com Quote:
UFC 146 may be the fight card of heavyweights, but not all the big men are fighting on May 26 in Las Vegas. Travis Browne and Ben Rothwell, both just coming off of victories, will square off at UFC on Fox 4 in August in Los Angeles.
UFC officials announced the bout late Monday evening.
Browne (13-0-1) has continued to impress, fight after fight. He’s now 4-0-1 in the Octagon, coming off of an impressive submission win over former Strikeforce fighter Chad Griggs at UFC 145 in Atlanta.
The big Hawaiian had been keeping himself ready following the win over Griggs, just in case the UFC had any more problems with its UFC 146 fight card. His manager, John Fosco of VF Elite Sports Management, told MMAWeekly.com earlier in the day that Browne was already back in the gym, staying ready.
He won’t be called into action at UFC 146, but will instead step onto the UFC on Fox 4 fight card against Rothwell, who now holds a record of 32-8.

UFC on Fox 4 is turning into a great card.
This will be a good fight. Browne looks bad ass, but if the motivated/in shape Big Ben shows up then we got a fight on our hands.
I retract that he has to be in shape. He will bring it no matter what, but his odds will be better if he is in shape. I still got Browne as the favorite in this one though.

I think Browne makes Ben look foolish in this one. Browne wins by KO in a big way

Seeing as how Ben ate a few from schaub before the ko. I think Browne is gonna put him down.

So ya, he did eat a few shots from Schuab but he was rocked at the time and STILL managed to land a flush hook on Schuab that sent him reaching for Jesus.

That card sure is going to be sweet.
This fight is awesome but Browne is putting The Barbarian down, imo.

Can't believe a lot of you are discounting Rothwell out.
The man is as tough as they come and by any means isnt an easy out for any HW.
He took some of AA best shots and sustained them all the way up to the 3rd round. He took a relentless beating from Cain and probably woulda kept going if Steve Maz hadnt stopped the fight at the worst possible moment. Mark Hunt threw some heavy shots and even tried to sub him (granted Mark Hunt is no JJ ace and both fighters were exhausted) but still was able to survive and drag it to a decision. Browne doesnt have the striking of AA or Hunt and doesnt have the power or relentless attack of Cain.
I admire Ben for putting more dedication in his training and expect to see him in even better shape for this fight. He beat a solid opponent in Schaub and he will want to keep the momentum going.
Browne on the other hand is on fire and a dedicated, in shape Rothwell will b his toughest fight. What I like about Browne is how much he improves and adds to his arsenal in every fight since the Kongo fight. He is def an intelligent fighter and I'm sure he knows too that Rothwell wont be an easy out. I expect both guys to come out and fight technically instead of swinging for the fences. Dont b surprised if it goes to a decision.
