Damn it, Cruz is one of my favorites and now its going to be almost a year since his last fight. I hope this isn't true.

Edit: Nothing on Twitter yet and Cruz posted about seeing the Avengers in the last hour so maybe this is fake?

I really wanted to see this rematch! Ugh, I agree with the rest of you though, get Barao or MacDonald to step in. Either one of those guys would still make for a great fight.

On a side note I hope they keep Cruz around to coach for the rest of the season. Just for the sole purpose of hearing Faber taunt, mock, and blame the shit out of Cruz for not being able to fight.

They better not make a stupid interim just to make the replacement fight more meaningful. Easy thing to do is make an official #1 contendor fight with Faber and Barao, given that Barao was in a very pointless fight against Menjivar.

The card was still going to do well as Silva/Sonnen 2 is one of the most anticipated fights this year.
