Default Ross Pearson and George Sotiropoulos leading candidates to coach TUF Australia

Report: Ross Pearson and George Sotiropoulos leading candidates to coach TUF Australia - MMAmania.com

Quote:
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fans wondering where lightweight standout and Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season six veteran George Sotiropoulos would turn up next, may have finally found their answer.

According to a report from The Telegraph, he's a frontrunner to coach the next season of the combat sports reality show opposite fellow TUF alum (and eventual champion) from season nine, Ross Pearson.

TUF 16: "The Sm-Ashes," a "play on the 130 year-old cricket rivalry" between Australia (Sotiropoulos) and the United Kingdom (Pearson), have already announced tryout dates for next month in both countries for aspiring mixed martial arts (MMA) up-and-comers between 135-170 pounds.

Sorry Tim, no heavyweights.

Pearson (13-5), who was recently submitted by Johnny Law, is scheduled to fight Cub Swanson next at UFC on FX 4 at the Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, N.J., on Sat., June 12, 2012. "Sots" (14-4), meanwhile, has been flying under the radar since back-to-back losses to Dennis Siver and Rafael dos Anjos.

Took me a little while to catch this one lol

So, is there word that Sots is dropping weight, or are they just going against recent trends and not having the coaches fight each other for this one?

Isn't Hector Lombard Australia based or have some sort of Austrialian nationality by way of Cuba? IMO, if he gets past Stann,, might be a good way to push him as a legit contender versus the UK's Bisping?

Is this for head coach? If so that is stupid I feel like both guys are not good enough to truly teach another pro fighter how to improve
