No, Actually I am not LOL at all about this.
I dislike a lot Dana White as a promoter, but I hope the surgery will be a success and he recovers soon.
Having a surgery is not the most pleasent thing in life, and post surgery days really suck.

I do not know about this disease but losing hearing is really horrible. And If someone told me that I will have surgery and I may get deaf I would be extremely worried.

So despite that I think he is not at all the ideal person to be the president of the UFC I hope he beats this disease and will continue having a normal life.

Really Ice cold and Sak? You do know that no matter what the topic is someone here will make lite of it or or attempt to add some humor to it?

I do hope the surgery goes well and Dana recovers quickly. I'm sure he will start another ironman streak when he recovers.

All I'm saying is damn near no one knows about this disease and could possibly make light of it and shrug it off.

All I was trying to illustrate is how debilitating the disease can be.

I just thought your reaction saying "i hope no one here is trying to make lite of this disease" was a bit much, but I shouldn't of lumped you in with Ice cold and his everyone's a dick statement.

Don't take it as an insult. I was just surprised that you wouldn't of expected people on the boards to make a joke or take a shot at Dana White of all people who has come down with something that requires surgery is all.

I am sorry that the disease had such a dramatic impact on your wife's life.

I just expect and accept that people here will make fun of or go too far on a subject i find in poor taste to make fun of.

I didn't say everyone is a dick. Saying that Dana hopefully doesn't have successful surgery is a bit much.

Ménière's disease is literally no joke, my wife was diagnosed with is about a year ago and to see the pain she went through was painful. I hope no one is making lite of what could happen from having Ménière's disease.

That said I don't think any of the jokes made in this thread were over the line or intended to be malicious. This forum seems to take things too seriously at times.

And again, I didn't say they were. All I wanted to shed light on was the actual disease itself. It's something not many people have heard of and by all accounts sound silly and with it being non life threatening, most people are like 'whatever'. I just didn't want to hear "Dana should get over it" or "It's not that bad", things like that. Was more getting in front of the train before the train got there type of situation.

Personally I don't think anything said was too bad.
