Combat Fighter Zone returns tomorrow at a special time of 8:00PM ET / 5:00PM PT with a double-interview!

That's right, opponents at UFC 61 "Bitter Rivals" on July 8th will be simaltaneous guests on CFZ Radio tomorrow, as Yves Edwards and Joe Stevenson will join the show at the same time!

In addition to that, hosts Luis Cruz and Seth Petruzelli (of The Ultimate Fighter 2) will bring on Matt Boone of MMANews.com to help run down the recent Ultimate Fight Night 5 show, and to preview the upcoming PRIDE "Critical Countdown Absolute 2006" show which features the second round of the Open-Weight Grand Prix tournament.

Full credit to the guests goes to Luis Cruz. That Mexican wonder continues to amaze me with the line-ups he bangs out every show. I'd say we're off to a good start.

"Mexican wonder" lol, Cruz has definitely pulled out some good line ups for the show so far. Isn't Bas supposed to be on sometime in the near future as well? I can't wait to here that one. Bas is always a great interview.

I set up Bas =) But yeah he had to reschedule because of a funeral. I think Cruz is going to take me getting Bas and make it even better. I won't reveal anything on that yet because it ain't confirmed, but let's just say Cruz doesn't settle for anything other than perfection. I ain't complaining lol.

Well good job getting Bas. He is one of my favorite MMA personalities, always has great interviews and has a good sense of humor. I'm glad you and Cruz got together and are making things happen. It's good for the sport.

Cruz is one of the most ambitious people I've met online. I've got a lot to offer as well on the promotional side and production side. We are a damn good combo, not to toot our own horn.

Bas is the man. He was our weekly "MMA insider" on WZR back in the day for about a year. Gave me the Big Books of Combat for free (like 200$ altogether) and his MMA workout tapes for free, just as gifts. And he is GENIUNELY exactly the same, I mean EXACTLY the same in person and off-air or off-camera as he is on it. There is not one single thing different about him than what everyone else sees. He drinks a lot and cusses more off-air, other than that he's identical to what everyone else sees.

Yeah I've heard some of his crazy drinking stories. That's cool that he hooked you up like that, and that he's the same person off camera. I hate when people act all fake on camera.

Yeah I wasn't the only one, he gave the same shit to everyone on the show - the other co-host and the producer. And the eventual replacement co-host of the guy who did the show with me for 4 of the 5 years, John Hartnett actually got drunk with him a bunch of times and trained with him. He works at ATT now as an office rep. But the stories he's got of being out with Bas drinking, man oh man lol.
