Dont forget he is a pastors kid. Those children tend to live sheltered lives until they get older and go to college our move out of the house. Havent people on here stated before they know pastors kids who have gotten into alot of trouble or even develop drug or alcohol problems? I know Jones already shamed his family by having a kid out of wedlock... but that is very common today. You see alot of young single parents in churches. Take this all into affect with his huge rise to fame, tons of money, and good looks (from what Im told).... something like this was bound to happen.

No one made you say "You don't have to worry about me getting a DWI".
No one made you drink and drive your car putting other people's lives at risk.

He definitely needs a publicist more than ever now, he needs to have everything he releases to the public sent through his publicist first. As far as sponsors dropping him, he only has the UFC sponsorship, soo.....he is in no danger of that happening.
In just very glad that he only hit a pole and is uninsured. I cannot imagine how things would be if he hit somebody and injured them or himself.

DUI's aren't a big deal... until an innocent person is killed. People don't think about that. And I know a lot of people do get them, but that isn't saying it's not a big deal, that only means that a lot of people are really fucking stupid and selfish.

Someone could post an article about him donating a bunch of money to MADD or something and a bunch of people would just jump in the thread and start trashing the guy. It doesn't matter what he does right about now.

And I can not believe that some people do not think a DUI is that big of a deal. The guy was so drunk he went off the road and crashed into a pole. That pole could have easily been a car or some joe schmo walking down the side of the street. DUI are serious buisness and Jones right now is facing the following:
Loss of License for 90 days
A fine between 500-3000 dollars
Jailtime for up to 15 days.
He is actually lucky it was in New York. In Mass a first offense DUI can get you up to 2.5 years in jail.
Jones at the end of the day broke a serious law and put needless lives at risk (including his own). I wish the UFC had a Code of Conduct policy and could suspend him for 6 months or something just to show the rest of the fighters that breaking the law is not going to be tolerated.

^^ and if he's already describing his situation as "the hell that is to come" he should consider how bad it would be if he'd killed someone.

I disliked Jones before the DUI; before it was cool to dislike Jon Jones. All you fickle mma fans better not go jumpin' on the bandwagon now, "Oh blah blah, he's a bad person, he drinks and drives with blatant disregard for telephone poles, I bet he doesn't even care that he may have interrupted someone's phone service. Blah."
Posers.
