Now, having said that, I think they should "clean" the sport of all of this. TRT, PEDS, Weed, all of it should have severe punishments. Missing weight, missing pressers, Monster truck racing, hitting refs, spitting on people, etc are all bad for the sport. IMO, if you want the drama then go watch WWE | Actually, that is not true. There are multiple states that have legalized medicinal marijuana. Nevada is one of them. Though, it is a lot harder to get a prescription in NV than CA. In NV you have to go through the Dept. of Health and prove your need for the use of Marijuana. But its legal for medicinal purposes.

here is a different question then, if you have a disorder that requires the use of weed, should you be fighting anyway?
Without researching it, I would guess that you have to be pretty messed up in most states to get the Doc to say "cool have some weed". I have heard that in Cali, it easy, but most states not so much

arthritis
muscle spasms
nausea
stress
Insomnia (but weed for me doesnt help me to sleep, it actually makes it harder... for me)

Of course this is under the current rules.
Next issue. | I think the issue at least for me is the unprecedented over the top fine on top of a very lengthy suspension for Diaz.

Would you be that guy that tells Franky Hove that he can't fight in MMA because he has one leg? Or Walker Vivian that he can't compete in MMA because of Type I Diabetes?
If a fighter is fully capable of defending theirselves and holding there on in the octagon and can do so without receiving an unfair advantage due to medical treatments I have no problem with it.
I fail to see how smoking weed actually gives a fighter any kind of advantage whatsoever. Did it help Diaz when he fought Diego Sanchez?
