Ah, but you're being misdirected. Have you actually heard anybody claim that he's got the testosterone of 14 men? Were they being serious, or joking?
The issue isn't that he's got the testosterone of 14 [or in Sonnen's case 17] men. The issue is that his T/E ratios are way out of balance, which is absolute indicator of a problem, and can't be explained away without acknowledging that there was something going on that shouldn't have.
99% of the public have T/E ratio's of 1:1. Absolutely and without a doubt, 100% of the public have ratios below 6:1, including the most testosterone-producing Olympic-level athletes on the planet. Anything above that indicates a concern. Even athletes recieving TRT injections shouldn't spike above the 6:1 ratio, if they're using it
correctly.
Certainly, blood tests are a more accurate option. They're also more expensive and more time consuming. I've been a proponent for urinalysis testing with the option of blood testing as a back-up--at the fighters expense for a loooooong time now, but Kizer doesn't return my calls.
I think anyone requesting allowances for TRT should need to get additional testing at their expense, as well. They're the ones with the specific outlying issue, they are the ones who can pay to address it.
