I bet he will someday. And I think he should be. He was one of those guys that everyone loved and he had what, like 20 fights in the UFC? I believe he also holds the record for most fight-of-the-night bonuses. However, there are a ton of people in line in front of him. Same with Brock. When their time comes, people will be more accepting of it. We're all talking about fighters who are still fighting or have very recently retired. I think fighters should get into the hall of fame well after their fighting days are over.

Brock did damn good given he had a pretty limited skillset in a rapidly evolving era which is amazing. I'd like to have seen more of him in mma to consider him a hall of famer. He spent the bulk of what was likely his prime mending unfortunately. Hall of fame is supposed to be the elite of the elite. Or at least what I've always understood as a hall of fame and as much as I like and respect him I wouldn't call him a first ballot

the man was a former ufc heavyweight champion, beating arguably the greatest champion ever in couture. not only that, but he brought in a new fan base (numbers dont lie). he definitely deserves to be in the hof same day, just not anytime soon.

and yes chris lytle put on many great fights and was a true warrior, however i do not consider him hall of fame worthy. just my opinion though.

the next inductee should be bas rutten.

I say hell NO. Eventho tbh Brock does meet some good "HOF Requirements"
Won UFC Title
Was ranked #1 at sometime while with UFC
Finished his career in the UFC.

Still...is having 7 fights over a 4 year span REALLY enough to get into the HOF? I think not. When I think UFC HOF I think of someone who pioneered the sport, or someone who stuck around and dominated, or both.

But people rally for Frank Shamrock and hes only had 5 fights (just saying), and if Run DMC can get into the Rock HOF I can honestly say this wont be the craziest thing I've ever heard.

But No, Im sure theres an EASY 5 other fighters that deserve it more, imho.

I'm all for this news. Brock should definitely be in the UFC Hall of Fame as it would instantly discredit those HOF aknowledgements. Maybe then a true MMA Hall of Fame could be formed with journalists voting guys in instead of Dana being in control.
