The fun part about this sport is it's a never say never situation. Eastman has a very slim chance of beating Rampage, but then again so did Lauzon when he fought Pulver and O'Brien when he fought Herring. It could go in Eastman's favor...but I really see Rampage taking it.

Rampage is going to maul Eastman, plain and simple. After that, he'll get by whoever is put in front of him till he meets up with Chuck; when it comes time for that, I take Chuck in a hell of a fight.

shit...that's the worst cut i've seen in ANY sport, hands down...

i'm not counting eastman out--he's got a chance...slim though it may be. but rampage is probably more motivated now than he has ever been.

i'm predicting rampage by TKO/KO early in 1--but an upset wouldn't surprise me TOO much.

Question: Why is Rampage even fighting Eastman? Eastman isn't even a contender. It's like, if Rampage beats Eastman, so what? --- it proves nothing. It brings Rampage no closer to the title. Are they feeding Eastman to Rampage for some reason?

Well Eastman beat Rampage back in 2000 so prob just letting Rampage avenge that loss as well as expose him to the unknown UFC fans. They want to build rampage up first before billing a Chuck/Rampage 2.

We all know that Rampage is an automatic title contender before even his first fight in UFC...but to your average ufc fan, he is not (they dont know who he is). That is why they are puttin eastman in the mix, so Rampage can showcase what he has and move up the ranks. Same thing with Eddie Sanchez and Cro Cop. those guys dont stand a chance, but the ufc needs to introduce them and "make it" seem like they earned there shot at the title.
The only reason that Anderson Silva got an early title shot is because there is not a lot of depth in the middle weight division, but now there is plenty of depth in the LW and HW division.
